| https://www.pan-europe.info/press-releases/2022/10/prolonging-eu-glyphosate-authorisation-extra-year-very-bad-news-nature-and The last renewal of glyphosate in the EU was for ONE YEAR ONLY which is due to end in December 2023 whereas previously it had been renewed for FIVE years instead of the proposed FIFTEEN years. Doesn't that tell you anything? Some countries in the EU have banned it. Others are looking to. There are far greater problems caused by vehicles being driven over pavements dislodging kerbstones and crushing paving stones together with many many protruding utility covers and tree roots. Damage is also often as a result of poor or no making good by builders and contractors. Why don't more residents make sure their builders and contractors make good properly or complain about other poor workmanship they encounter on the pavements and report it to Fix My Street? Councils across the UK and other other countries ARE trying other methods and glyphosate IS NOT NEEDED in many cases. https://www.pan-uk.org/pesticide-free-towns-success-stories/#:~:text=Peterlee%2C%20Durham%20%E2%80%93%20December%202018%20%E2%80%93,moved%20to%20pesticide%20free%20methods. |
