| The original complaint was about the streets looking scruffy. Using pesticides and herbicides should never be the instant easy tick box solution to anything. There are degrees to any type of action. Cheap and easy but possible carcinogen -v- a bit of hard work? Who wants their families to be exposed to this? Just because you don't like something is just not a good enough reason to use something toxic to get rid of it especially with something like glyphosate which has and is being further investigated and regulated and banned in some countries and the effects of which are continually being researched and re-examined. It has been declared as a likely carcinogen and there's plenty of research and findings into its neurotoxic effects. Remember how long it took to find out the truth about tobacco and that non-stick saucepan coating. We should also all now be aware of the lobbying and secrecy that can surround these products and just err on the side of safety. But it IS true and once upon a time EVERYBODY used to do it! |
