| Sadly I missed this thread last month and assumed that as many cars were parked near M&S / Tesco on Sunday 19 Feb around 5pm, parking was still ok on Sundays. As I have just rec'd a ticket from a camera for stopping for 10 mins, I walked along CHR today looking for any sign relating to changes in parking hours and all I could find was a couple of A4 pages of print from Hounslow Council glued to a piece of cardboard tied with plastic loops to a sign post near the bus stop outside M&S. This notice was dated 31 Jan 2012 and referred to changes due to the Hammmersmith flyover closure. This was certainly hard to spot and I don't think the changes were properly advertised by the Council. I do not receive Hounslow newsletters being in the Ealing Council area and apart from this forum I haven't found any noticeable publicity on the high road warning of parking changes (unfortunately for me I found the small piece of publicity too late)! Has anyone successfully appealed on the basis of insufficient publicity of parking changes (eg if the lines had been made double yellow it would have been obvious...and maybe wouldn't have cost much more than re-labelling all the 'No Loading' signs). |
