Michael - why do you assume as an article of faith that everyone needs to drive to the High Road to do their shopping? There's not actually any evidence I can see that you're providing here, this is a compact urban area with ample bus and rail services, not the Highlands of Scotland. Take a look out of the window occasionally. [insert usual comment about 'London has both reducing car traffic and the best performing economy in the country' in the vain hope Michael will read it.] "How else can 24hr bus lane enforcement be justified?" Off the top of my head, by the need to ensure reliability of the bus network on which millions of Londoners get around? |
