| Do you have statistics on your claims that many private landlords are poor? a totally agree that institutions and some councils are very poor but private landlords general want to protect their investment so are excellent at looking after their tenants. Labour take a sledgehammer to every policy treating 90% of decent landlords poorly. 37% of private landlords have sold up that only creates more housing issues. How can it be right that a tenant can NOT pay rent for 3 months before the landlord is able to take out a long drawn process it’s wrong. Private landlords have mortgages to pay this policy is plain wrong. Some of it does make sense but I got out the market with so much legislation coming 3 years ago it just wasn’t worth the hassle for little return. I was one of the 90% decent landlord and did not increase rent, sorted issues quickly to a high standard so I totally disagree with this policy. This government has no idea how to govern a country it shows in all their heavy handed policies so we have zero growth, inflation rising, costs rising, massive tax increases and no improvements given their extra 70 billion they are taking from society. Labour are dead. |
