| Yes you’re wrong and you’ve admitted it so it’s pointless to now try to mitigate your mistake by trying to worm your way out of it with baseless assumptions which are actually quite derogatory and insulting to older people. Suffice to say that I know many, many older people who can’t do without their smartphones and use them regularly with ease. In fact I can’t think of any elderly people who struggle with them. The clue is in the name. These phones are ‘smart’ so one doesn’t need to be a genius to use them. I’ve seen very old people using the TfL App to check their bus times etc. Regarding the State Pension being part of the Benefits Payments I can’t see where Jayne is wrong or where she disputed that? It is an absolute fact that the total Benefits Bill is more than our Income tax revenue and why government borrowing has substantially increased. You are right that some state pensions may not be claiming all that’s due to them and long may that continue as the Government will be grateful for that because if that wasn’t happening they would be under even more pressure to cut benefits to all the bone idle people who should be working but prefer to stay at home getting fat and the asylum seeker illegal immigrants. That would cause much angst for the backbenchers for sure. |
