| Vanessa is absolutely right that it isn't surprising that phones are stolen when people walk around carrying hundreds of pounds worth of electronic equipment in their hand. There were an awful lot stolen from people arriving at train stations and walking straight out into the street outside holding their mobile phone in their hand. There is an absolutely huge wealth gap in this country between rich and poor. https://www.bigissue.com/news/social-justice/what-you-need-to-know-about-uk-inequality/ This is what happens when you have such a huge wealth gap between rich and poor. It was obvious in places like South America over 30 years ago where people were sleeping outside on rooftops visible from the gated communities. It is too easy for some people to avoid AND evade paying a fair and graduated amount of tax. It would be good if there was more free help for those who can't afford the tax consultants that the wealthy can afford to use to minimise even more the amount of tax they pay. So many of those on welfare benefits are ALSO working but just not earning enough to live on. Lots of people don't and won't ever have mobile smartphones. |
