| I visited the mega Westfield Shopping Centre in Stratford, East London yesterday and noticed a massive increase in yellow uniformed Security Staff on duty. Also a few police and a sniffer dog. Possibly 100 in total. From where had they all been recruited and made available? On enquiring I was told that the West Ham Football Club now play their matches next door at the Olympic Area ... and that "today they are playing Everton". And many of the crowds walk through the Shopping Centre ...noisily and often can be... a threat to the shops and customers. If the our local Police haven't the personnel available ... why can't private enforcement staff not be provided? Local life seems to have reached that stage. |
