| I didn't mention wealth did I? I linked to a report that mentioned income inequality. Here's something about wealth https://www.ons.gov.uk/peoplepopulationandcommunity/personalandhouseholdfinances/incomeandwealth/bulletins/totalwealthingreatbritain/april2020tomarch2022#:~:text=1.,! Someone can be very wealthy e.g. if you have a lot of property, or a large built up pension pot, without necessarily having a high income (in comparison with the median UK income). I would consider someone on £100k per year as having a very good income. I wouldn't consider £30k per year as a good income, but I'm sure someone on the minimum wage of £12.61 per hour might consider it a good income. Supposedly plenty of businesses bleat about paying the minimum wage and how it will be the ruin of them. Mind you consevatives have never been fans of having a minimum wage and paying those at the bottom end of the income any more than they have to. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n0otakScgkA What do you think a good wage is Jane? |
