| I’m delighted that a local staunch Brexit supporter has confirmed that the negative economic impact of Brexit has always been understood. It was never « project fear « . And now Brexit supporters are being honest and confirming that they had always recognised this negative impact but voted leave anyway (and tried to pretend it won’t happen). What is now disturbing is the retrospective re-imagining of their reasons for voting for Brexit. Now it is claimed that it was about certain deprived and under-invested parts of the UK. Wow. Or that the EU was too political. Double wow. Any other made up in hindsight reasons ? |
