| Well Julian: - you obviously haven't read the Government's Policy paper "Trading electricity with the EU" or bothered to understand the consequences. A quick Google should get you there. The Government chose to leave the European internal energy market (IEM) from the start of this year for political reasons. As a direct consequence wholesale electricity prices in the UK are more than twice as high as within the European market. Increases in gas prices is an additional, world wide, issue it is true only partially exacerbated by Breixt. But rocketing electricity prices are a direct result of Breixt, or rather of the Government's refusal to accept the EU's offer for us to remain in the IEM post Brexit. There is only one person talking tosh here, and rather embarrassingly I am afraid that it is you. |
