| All true. But they will have got Brexit over the line. And probably a swivel eyed Brexiteer in number 10 to negotiate the future relationship. Gove's admitted strategy is to do so, then renege on the withdrawal deal. The Brexit withdrawal negotiations will then seem like a short trailer for the main event (the permanent trade deal), which at this rate will take at least another couple of decades. These idiots will carry on making the UK a laughing stock, and uninvestable in for another couple of decades. Not a good outcome. And so much for David Davies' (and other pundits, including on this forum parroting him) "the EU always wait until the last minute before backing down". Nonsense then, and nonsense now. If he were not too stupid to come up with any sort of strategy, I could almost believe that this is the way he tried to connive to get us to "no deal". |
