As has been said, she is going to try for a third vote with her deal which parliament has twice unanimously rejected but yet will not allow a second referendum and even then I am not sure that it will solve anything other than more division.” Yep, we’ve managed to get ourselves into a no win situation whatever happens. If we cancel Brexit or remain wins a second referendum, millions of people are going to feel betrayed, and we'll have still lost jobs, billions of pounds, and a good deal of respect. If we go with Mays deal or a soft Brexit, we'll have ironically ended up as the vassal state that the eurosceptics claimed we were (paying in with no say) If we go for a hard Brexit, we'd make enemies of our closest neighbours and trading partners, show ourselves as a bad risk to others, and seriously damage the economy |
