| There is now a chance that no deal exit is off the agenda (but it seems that is not binding). A minor phew all round (unless you are a true Brexit idiot and want an exit at any cost). So does that mean a postponement is inevitable? And if there is postponement for a few months what will change in those months to enable an acceptable deal? It seems only two things can make a change to the impasse possible : either a general election or a second referendum. Of course a change of PM is also possible and with an arch Brexit fan as PM then reverting to no deal exit is possible. That PM would no doubt point to the very narrow margin of parliamentary votes this evening as claim that such a tiny victory has no meaning. |
