| You've got to admire Arlene Foster. About 2 years or so back, she loses Northern Ireland about £500 Million (ropey power scandal). Not too long after that, along comes May and agrees to give her double that amount if the DP will support her minority government after May screwed up calling a general election and failed to maintain her majority. (Foster, in the meantime has done no work in the Northern Ireland Assembly as the DUP and Sinn Fein are busy playing "mines bigger than yours" over the power scandal). Foster duly fulfills some of her part of the bargain, albeit I haven't seen any summary of what she has supported May over. Now, she is doubtless busy screwing more out of May for her support over May's failed Brexit deal. You couldn't make it up. In fact, if you came up with a story line for a film that ran along the lines of what has happened in the UK over the past 3 years, no-one would buy it as it's far too implausible. |
