| Speaking of major errors of judgement - we have the no deal debate today. When I talk to dutch / german / french businesses - they have sorted themselves out already. They saw the likelihood (threat?) of a no deal exit for the UK and prepared. They are not happy, it has cost effort & money - but they are certain they will not have problems. Thus the 'threat' of no deal is no threat at all. It is the ultimate in hitting yourself repeatedly in the face just to prove a point. The PM has used this 'threat' internally - not to threaten the EU (they are prepared and will accept this) but a to threaten her own MPs. The definition of insanity is to let this threat become reality just because it has not sufficiently work on her own MPs. I'd like some analogies for this insane behaviour. |
