| I’d guess there are Havelock Roads all over the country. Nobody now really gives so much as a a nod to Havelock let alone know of his part in the so-called Indian Mutiny. A statue, on the other hand, I’d suggest is a little different. Having said that, there is a national syllabus and the history syllabus certainly needs a massive overhaul, in my view. The Tudors, WWI and WWII does not reflect our history. |
