| “ The wait time at the signalised crossings is soooo long and particularly in these cold temperatures, I'd rather keep moving.” The big problem with the signalised crossings is that so often pedestrians don’t need to press the button because there is minimal traffic and they could easily cross the road safely but they just press the button automatically without even bothering to check. Often they are too busy on mobile phones to even look up. This causes additional pollution and unnecessary traffic hold ups. |
