| I agree entirely with what you say Edward. It is certainly getting worse and part of the reason is increased number of electric bikes and scooters for which there is an inverse relationship between the speed at which they travel and the consideration of those riding them. They rarely stop for you on a zebra crossing. Regular cyclists tend to be much more considerate and if they do fail to stop, it is often a reflection of my own hesitancy as it is so hard to be sure if it is safe to proceed. That said I would much prefer if the zebras are kept. The wait time at the signalised crossings is soooo long and particularly in these cold temperatures, I'd rather keep moving. |
