| Vanessa - if you are troubled by overhanging vegetation it is a matter of a moment to report it via FixMyStreet https://fms.hounslowhighways.org on a PC, tablet or smartphone. I do this all the time when I see a problem. Of course, we expect Hounslow Highways and environment officers to report these too but it is unlikely this will ever be perfect unless and until we have the funds to employ an additional army of inspectors. As to illegal crossovers, they are notoriously difficult to enforce, requiring court action. For that reason we have decided to engage a dedicated crossover enforcement officer within the environment team. Recruitment has been delayed by the pandemic but is proceeding and we will appoint imminently. |
