Agreed about the cyclist being on the pavement. And of course, the A316 belongs to Tfl not Hounslow. I also do my weeds and wish others would as well. The problem this year is that Hounslow Highways has switched from using glyphosate to doing it by hand which is the only alternative. They hired extra staff to do it, but it has proved to be very much slower than they thought it would be. Also, they had to start late due to some pandemic, and there was a lot of rain which meant weeds growing fast and seeding themselves. But it is a learning process for them - how to do it safely and what man power they are going to need. As well as this, as I have discovered, weeds growing between the paving slabs (especially the new ones) are very difficult to get out with a hoe |
