| If community action was ever going to be capable of dealing with the problem then now would have been the time that it happened. Many more people were at home and there was a sense that you could give local authorities the benefit of the doubt because services might have been legitimately interrupted by the pandemic. Even if you are convinced the reason there is a problem is that your neighbours aren't as public spirited as you that doesn't provide a solution. Ultimately a taxpayer funded system of regular clearance by specialist workers is the only way any urban area has kept their streets wee free and I am unconvinced Chiswick can be the exception. |
