It's true that LBHF gave up on dedicated garden waste collections years ago but you are allowed to dispose of this along with your normal weekly household waste. This is from their website: "Each week you can put out up to five bags of garden waste in sturdy refuse sacks for collection along with ordinary household rubbish. These don't have to be specially marked." I have only recently moved to a house under the tender mercies of Hounslow after decades in LBHF. I have to say I much preferred LBHF's methods for dealing with the same problem! By the way anyone not living in the borough of Richmond who is accustomed to using the Townmead recycling centre - be warned - visits there are now by appointment only and are linked to your address and vehicle number, so presumably now strictly residents only. |
