'Damaged pavements are a trip hazard and should be reported to the Councils/Council Contractors (eg Hounslow Highways) involved.' I cannot begin to tell you how many people park in their front gardens without the benefit of a properly constructed vehicle crossover thus causing damage to pavements and any underlying pipes/cables etc. The idea of Hounslow enforcing this is a joke, they send a letter telling the offenders to apply for a crossover and that's where it stops. If that's their idea of enforcement it is enough to make you weep, they have the powers to do something positive and just can't be a*sed it seems. Doesn't matter about the poor sods who go A over T due to damaged pavements or who aren't aware that a car could drive out of a front garden when they're not expecting it as there is no dropped kerb. They are useless. |
