Regarding brambles, roses and other greenery overhanging pavements from people's gardens and becoming a hazard to others. The council has powers to serve notice to ask householders to cut back their vegetation, Section 154 of the Highways Act 1980. As we're always being told that Hounslow at least, has this contingent of 'enforcement officers' - (not that there's been much evidence of them in this locality I can tell you when people from another borough took it into their own hands to do works to a tree in Hounslow) what exactly are these people enforcing???? |
