What a fabulous trip down memory lane this thread has been.
For me the most missed restaurants were:
1. Southey's (the steak & kidney pie!!)
2. Springbok Cafe (the apricot loaded pudding)
3. A Persian restaurant on CHR maybe just beyond the Old Cinema (name has gone from memory)
4 Shortly after the Persian closed down it was replaced by an excellent Spanish tapas restaurant, I have a vague memory it closed when the owner had heart problems
5. Quantas
6 The original Thai Bistro was a lot of fun, now that it is Tor (different owners I think because it was something else for a while) it is still very good.
