| I’m with you Mr. Kerr - Southey’s by a mile, even 10 miles. We had so many good times in that bistro, whether we were 2 or 4 or a party of 12. Mis-matched wooden tables and chairs, on a wooden floor, a chalkboard menu, red paper napkins, great food and wine, value for money and it wasn’t pretentious. I can still see John cooking in that tiny kitchen. When did it open BTW? I I think the first time I went there was ’83, maybe even earlier. It was as you said the “La Bohème” of W4 dining... On était jeunes. On était fous. |
