Totally agree my number 1 would be Southeys - the owners still live in Chiswick - we went there often after work in the early 80s. Really missed as an independent as was Kleftico which thrived as an al fresco dining place during the massive sewage works - as a chain I miss Piaf which was excellent and Cafe Rouge.
Anyone remember The Heidleberg (spelling?) - delicious cakes.
