“Tiny restaurant outside Chiswick Main Line Station (where taxi office is now)”..

“Ding ding”.. distant bells!    His name was Rob or Robbie.  Charming black guy with posh accent aka Don Warrington (Rising Damp).  Super cook.  Did pheasant a lot.  Rob had a white English girlfriend who was 'managing' him.  They started in a pop-up on CHR towards Hammersmith somewhere.  The venture in the tiny hut outside the train station disappeared almost as soon as it began.  Great pity – a few of us had several great meals....
