| According to Carrie it was the head of the school who said protestors risked arrest. Have to say, even if this was just a scare tactic, I'm on his side. Children shouldn't be wandering up Chiswick High Road in large groups on a school day and he is responsible for them. They can protest at the weekend so their studies are not affected. Parents of under 16s who allow or encourage their children to participate in demos are unfit. If some of the accounts here are to believe these demos are coralled by 'agents of the enemy' with a propensity for violence and the risk of mass stampede is ever present. If a parent feels so strongly about the issue they should tell their child to go to school and say they will join the protest in their place. |
