| It's best to try and keep this thing focused. The van was planted in order to enable it to take the focus of the activity in the right wing media. That's not a conspiracy but what happened in this case. The van, which had no number plates, no guards on the windows, had new stickers stuck on rust in several places and had a 'police aware' sticker on it - as left on deserted vehicles, was there to be attacked. This may have been a diversionary tactic, to put it in it's best possible light, but the standard did not report it in that way and claimed the van was following protesters to see where they where going and that police equipment was stolen from it. The students are getting more and more active. In terms of opposition there is a long game being worked out. Personally I think there is a tendacy for the left to muddy things together, like people protesting against about palastine on non israel related events. Or throwing in gay and feminism things in with most things. The green party are just as bad when it comes to animal rights. Being left does not mean you agree with everything vaguely left wing or being vegetarian means you need to be into animal rights and alternative medicine. So anyway. I get the point - it's best not to try and pile everything in at once, keep to a topic or subject for the best effect and to avoid alienating people who might agree with you on one thing, but not another. |
