| I agree, TP, but it’s interesting that consumption of these legal drugs has shown significant reduction in recent years. In 1974 about 40% of the adult population smoked. In 2020 it was around 15%. As for alcohol, in 2001 around 10% of 16-24 year olds were teetotal, now that figure is up to 25%. The ‘war on (illegal) drugs’ on the other hand has been a long term failure. I think a major overhaul of our drugs laws is well overdue. This should be treated as a health issue rather than a legal or moral one. |
