| Poor old Glebe estate. I bought my first flat in Chiswick on Duke Road, a bijou (ie tiny) little ground floor flat on the corner of Reckitt Road, opposite the then Boltons Pub. No garden but a little side return and parking space at the back. I adored it and the proximity to not just the High Road, 7 min walk from the underground but also Chiswick House, albeit under a noisy main road. That end of the road at the time was quite quiet as regards traffic as it's a no through road but if all this goes ahead, traffic will be pushed further and further down the road to take less congested shortcuts onto the main road. |
