| I am guessing Hounslow Council want to kill off the small shops. The idea of nipping down to the butchers, greengrocers & deli for a weekly shop will be rendered impossible for many. Lea & Sandermans on Devonshire Road/CHR corner might as well close now because you can virtually never get parked other than on Devonshire Road. This sort of idea has been tried many times by many councils around the country over the years. Every time it kills the high street. But of course Hounslow Council could not give a monkeys about the blue enclave of Chiswick, they probably regard killing small shops as a badge of honour |
