| About time for an update, as this is not getting any more simple: 1) Johnson has thrashed out a revised 'deal' with the EU 2) It is very like the May deal that was handsomely rejected (plural) except with changes to make it worse for DUP, ERG, Lib-Dems, Labour, SNP and everyone except Johnson (who calls it a Trump-like "great deal") 3) Parliament has not yet approved it but did give a majority support to further examine it (the tories say this was support for the bill but it was only support to take it to the next stage of review) 4) Parliament then rejected Johnson's proposed (very short) time allowed for this review 5) Johnson, in another act of child like tantrum, decides not to progress the bill and seek the extension from the EU that he 100% would not ever ask for (what a man of honour, consistency and trust) 6) The EU now has to decide whether to offer another extension and for how long 7) That means .... a general election? I think its time to leave the country. |
