| Yey! I have achieved something! Francis Rowe actually looking for data rather than simply pulling his opinions from his posterior. However Francis is ignoring that the closure of Hammersmith Bridge to motor traffic also substantially reduces motor traffic on the approach roads to the bridge. He is basically claiming that the only casualties that matter are the casualties that occur as soon as someone cycles from road tarmac to bridge decking. But all those casualties, including a fatality, involving vehicles driving to and from the bridge? Nothing to see here, as far as Francis is concerned. He is ignoring them, even though they are directly linked to motor traffic on the bridge. The closure of Hammersmith Bridge to motor traffic has essentially turned the approach roads into a low traffic neighbourhood. But in Francis's perverse view, low traffic is dangerous, high traffic is safe. |
