There is nothing at all misleading about using words like "may be", "could be". Their meanings are clear, it is your interpretation which is suspect. It is simply not making a commitment one way or the other. And if there is no need to make a decision one way or the other, then she isn't making a decision. Standard politics. It strikes me Jeremy that you are incapable of dealing with uncertainty. That is why you treated highly dubious hearsay and anecdotes as gospel truth. And feel the need to invent your own meanings to statements containing "may be" and "could be" as if they said "is" and "will". |
