Fair enough. I was wrong to state categorically that we know the exact criteria for the allocation of money from the fund. Given this appears to be a recent conception, the probability is they haven't actually been fully determined yet and they will be drawn up based on political considerations. West London won't be the only area lobbying for a share and there will be huge pressure not to make the largest expenditure in an area where Labour is less vulnerable at election time. One criteria we can safely say has been met is the structural integrity of the plans. If anything had emerged from reports calling this into question, Hammersmith Bridge would never have entered into the conversation about the Structures Fund. |
