| Walking through a park today there was a large plastic container with the remains of a meal lying abandoned on the grass together with several sets of plastic cutlery. I feel I ought to but can't bring myself to photograph the mess. This and the pigeon feeding so that there are huge flocks of the filthy things roosting in a tree which overhangs a park bench and recreating The Birds as they fly off whenever dogs startle them make the park less attractive. It's much more amusing when the young moorhens chase the pigeons off. Several years ago there were some really great very short films made for a competition. LBH used to have a great poster pinned on the notice-board outside Fountains Leisure Centre about going nuts when people put their black sack rubbish out too early (pre wheelies). I think there must have been a picture of a squirrel on it but don't think I have any photos from that period any more. |
