| What IS absolutely shocking is the number of people who expect to be cleared up after. The number of times I've walked around parks only to see the detritus left after picknickers have just got up and walked away has to be seen to be believed. It is a people problem. In the old days we would have had park keepers to keep an eye on what was going on and to remonstrate as well as help park users to keep the parks clean and safe. Sadly there ard people who don't believe in paying adequate taxes for more Council services or the valeting service that the want but won't pay for. Scotland is still moving ahead with its deposit return system despite a slow down caused by the pandemic. |
