| Broadway Living was set up several years ago. There is a new large loan. This is because of Councils having to house people but having Council housing sold under the Right to Buy at discounted prices and not getting all of the purchase price back but it going to the Treasury instead. I remember this discounted right was also to be extended to Housing Association tenants. We have newspaper reports of housing developer bosses each taking home millions of pounds. We also have thousands of aspiring first home leaseholders who have been caught up in the stress and scandal of various problems of fire safety thrown up and brought to light in their new homes by the Grenfell tragedy. Some developers are doing something about it - others not and the Govt is only dealing with part of it. When is a home not a home? |
