| Adrian. The resistance has not been from people in general who don’t know much about it. It has been from the big oil companies, the frackers, the loggers with deforestation, nuclear testing in the oceans, the banks which are supporting them, Heathrow and more. Fighting tooth and nail and bribing to keep their own interests going........ Now the tide is at last turning and it has taken David Attenborough and these demos to make the population aware of the urgency now. Peoples opinions. Are they open minded people or are they bigoted? Emma’s air miles have already been explained on this thread. She does not fly more than she has to but when she does she offsets her carbon footprint by paying for lots of trees to be planted including for the green wall in Chiswick. If you for some other reason you don’t like her that’s ok but thousands of people do and all her films have been a huge success which is why she is a Dame. Greta is an amazing young lady who despite Asperger’s syndrome is winning the hearts and minds of millions of people across the Globe. The reason for all this happening in London is because it is the Capital City where the Government is and it is the Government which has to commit to drastically reducing climate change. So these demos aren’t going to go away. Far from it! |
