| Adrian. Do you have any facts to back this up? DA has done an enormous amount through TV getting this info into sitting rooms. Greenpeace and Friends of the Earth have been working on it for decades and I have been supporting both of them with Direct Debits so I constantly get all the updates by email. If I have any queries they are promptly answered. When I was required at City Hall to set up the Mayors Waste Strategy for London I asked Friends of the Earth for help since I didn’t even have the internet! They promptly found someone who had to travel to Chiswick all the way from Haringey by train since he didn’t have a car. It has been evident that it is now time to take all this to the streets as a matter of urgency. At first I was concerned that this could lead to trouble makers arriving but they haven’t so far. A few ER people arrived at Heathrow to make a point but did not stop people from travelling. So ER have raised awareness to a lot of people without any actual harm and no need for them to be arrested for something quite vague. The police say that they haven’t encountered anything like this previously. So all good so far and perhaps some more people will switch to renewable energy. |
