| How many people are working to resolve this? Mark Carney, the Governor of the Bank of England is the latest writing jointly with Francois Villeroy de Galhau, the Governor of the Banque de France. This is part of a serious and sustained effort by the heads of 34 central banks to focus on financial regulation on avoiding environmental as well as economic collapse. Barclays is one of the banks which is refusing to stop investing in the Tar Sands horror. Greta Thunberg who is now 16 years old telling the EU to wake up and take action. People and Planet with thousands of students calling for fossil fuel divestment and winning enormously across the Globe. The coalition including CHATR for saying no to R3. Greenpeace who have representatives all over the Globe. Friends of the Earth. I have just signed another petition to the Government which is not doing enough fast enough. 350 Degrees and 10:10. Most of us have the internet and can participate. How many of us on this forum are doing something positive? Switching to 100% renewable energy in spite of the Governments refusal to encourage it. Why do we need chaos in central London when those concerned could sign up and participate in something positive? . |
