| This debate was had at Westminster Council some years ago. It resulted in the council and its chargepayers coughing up millions. Some do gooders insisted a tree not be cut. The Council listened. Property owner had to reinforce foundation due to root growth and the excess pull on ground moisture. Embarrasing and costly to all. TfL have also had issues with busses and excessive tree growth. Some accidents ending up life threatening. The trees will grow back and growing trees are better for the environment than fully mature ones. Stop being busy bodies and think about your requests and potential outcomes. |
