I've just seen what they've done on Chiswick Back Common - as mentioned before, they replaced the old, beautiful poplars that offered nesting sites for lots of different birds with little ugly plane tree saplings.

I would invite you guys who live in the area to study Hounslow's website, find the right contacts and complain in droves.
They should at least have replaced like with like. In fact, they should have left the poplars well alone. If you complain strongly enough, they may save the last line of poplars, the one closer to TGT.

Please do it for the W4 fauna, the common's looks and the enjoyment of both by all of us.
