| The EU generates the red mist for most sceptics amongst us. The EEC is something most of (who are old enough) voted for in ’73! The fact that we were lied to by the 'pro-group' and the then ‘anti-crowd’ including Tony Benn and Peter Shore spoke with clarity and truth about the super-state we are moving to (Incidentally the LP position was the same when Brown and Blair entered politics so it shows twisted they are). However, I think the EU should see the damage its creating to international relationships as it steam-rollers east. The NATO alliance brought peace to this part of the world. The EEC has help relationships but the EU, and the single currency in particular, will implode with time. Politicians need to keep there distance and they should have less power not more. |
