"Thanks for your comments. If there was a referendum I don't think I would vote though. The document is too complicated and it's very difficult to find an unbiased opinion. I don't think I would care very much if it was accepted or rejected." So, Jonathan, what a terrible admission to make. You obviously don't care that we have virtually no control over our own destiny, and if the EU has its way, eveything we can do, can't do, will be contolled by corrupt unelected bureaucrats from Brussels who have their own agenda, and considerations for the UK, and England in particular, are non-existant. Under EU law, if you are accused of a crime, you are guilty until proved innocent - and all that that implies. Why should our laws come from another country or federal state? Is this what you really want? The reason for most of the countries joining the EU in the last few years or so, is that they view it, understandably, as an enormous gravey train, which they hope will solve their economic problems, and feather their nests. Look at the Common Agricultural Policy, and see who benefits, largely at the expense of the UK. Whenever we get grants from the EU for various purposes, just think for one moment where the money comes from. It's our money. As for Will's comments about a referendum, always remember to look before you leap, and check your facts. |
