| If a seventeen year old unsourced news report is the strongest argument that you can make for stopping funding Ukraine then you aren't going to convince many people even with the support of King Arthur. Once again in an attempt to sling mud at Ukraine you have put the spotlight on the very unpleasant nature of the Russian Federation. In 2006 Ukraine was making the first steps to throwing off the yoke of the domination of the corrupt Russia friendly oligarchs who had been running their country. At the same time there was a massive craze among wealthy Russians for treatments using foetal stem cells. Would a hospital in Russian speaking Kharkiv be involved in this trade at the time? That does seem possible. However, the notion that babies were being snatched to provide stem cells seems unlikely as Russia has ample material from aborted foetus with 500,000 killed every year. Whatever happened back then, one of the root causes of this war is the desire of Ukrainians to move away from a kleptocratic form of government where the rich operate with no constraint (possibly including the ability to get medical treatments enabled by killing babies) to a society where laws are enforced equally. This may not be the news you hear from Camelot. |
