Anna, rather than peddling more of this made up nonsense from Twitter accounts which know absolutely nothing of the situation in Ukraine, I am surprised you aren't more gleeful about the real things in the real world that are going wrong for Ukraine at the moment. Trump has made it clear to the rest of the Republican party that he doesn't want a deal on border security because he wants to fight the election on that issue. This means that hopes of agreement on a funding deal for Ukraine are fast disappearing and vital munitions that could give them an edge in this conflict are sitting in American warehouses. This doesn't mean that Ukraine loses as Russia, with a huge advantage in terms of artillery and manpower has only been able to make tiny advances at massive cost, but it looks ever more likely that there will be little change in the battlelines during 2024. Putin is probably going to be looking further afield with Moldavan and Georgian elections likely this year which he will seek to undermine and destabilise these countries. Then , should Trump be elected, Putin's hands may be free to turn to the Baltic states if the US is reneging on its NATO obligations. Your twisted world view will probably lead you to believe that this is a good thing but the rest of us will be depressed and concerned about what 2024 is likely to bring. |
